The National Taipei University (NTPU) and the University of Azhar Indonesia (UAI) signed a letter of intent (MOU) for sister school cooperation on January 14, 110, connecting the two universities for academic research, project cooperation, and talent exchange opportunities. This cooperation is believed to promote the exchanges between the teams of the two parties, combine the R&D energy between the two universities, and add strength to international cooperation.

 

Due to the impact of the COVID-19, the MOU ceremony was held online. The president Li Chengjia and the president of Al-Azhar University Ir. Asep Saefuddin signed the contract. Vice President Chen Daxin, Director of Research and Development Wei Wanming, International Director Lin Wenyi, Dean of the International School of Sustainable Innovation Zhang Wenjun, Director of the General Studies Center Ye Guizhou, Director of the International Cooperation Division Gu Jiaan, and Director of the Urban Governance Degree Program You Shunde, Taiwan and India Research The director of the center Shia Genchang participated in the ceremony, and the Ministry of the Interior also appointed Xu Yuwei, a technician from the Department of Lands, to attend the ceremony. During the ceremony, they exchanged the actions taken by the two countries to fight the epidemic, and introduced the international academic programs of the two universities.

 


At the end of the ceremony, the two universities actively promoted the new southbound teaching and research, and will set up an Indonesian overseas research center in the local area to promote follow-up academic and technical cooperation. The two sides will be able to demonstrate cross-field and innovative academic energy. In addition to active exchanges in scientific research and talent cultivation, they will also open up talent exchanges between the two countries and encourage Indonesian students to study at Peking University.
