To use an aerial gravimeter, a global navigation satellite system (GNSS) receiver must also be installed on the aircraft body, and the GNSS receiver as a ground base station must be set up on the absolute gravity point to record the aircraft's observations on each route Position data at the time. The ground relative gravity measurement is performed on the parking apron where the aircraft is parked. The gravity value of this temporary point is referenced to the absolute gravity point on the ground near the airport. These absolute gravity points on the ground are usually located near airports in each province, in a meteorological park owned and managed by the Indonesian Geophysical, Climatological and Meteorological Agency (BMKG).
