The study of land use change must choose different models according to the characteristics of different regions.

Process-based models are more able to reflect the changing mechanisms of the real world than statistical models, so they are usually more able to explore in depth the factors that influence the mechanism and their effects.

The Agent-based land-use model can be applied to various planning strategy evaluation studies, and has the potential to support the formulation of real-world planning strategies.

Able to integrate different environmental impact assessment models (ex: wind environment, thermal environment, traffic model, disaster risk assessment model...etc.) to form an integrated strategic assessment framework.
